Peak-Ryzex is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Training Specialist to join our Human Resources team at our Headquarters in Columbia, MD. This individual will report to the Director of Talent Acquisition and assist with the efforts to attract, hire, and retain employees.
  • Recruiting & HR:
    • Utilize Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, and any other sites to find qualified candidates for current openings
    • Conduct phone interview to assess and qualify talent
    • Collaborate with hiring manager to ensure a successful selection and hiring process
    • Set phone, in-person, and/or skype interview
    • Compose paperwork for new hires, including offer letters and onboarding documents
    • Post and advertise current openings on all job posting sites and social media
    • Focus on branding and social media initiatives as related to attracting talent to the organization
    • Assist with new hire onboarding process include the onboarding orientation presentation
    • ADP Administration – homepage maintenance, enter new hires, and make any adjustments
    • Ensure all new hire paperwork is complete & processed including the e-verify process
    • Maintain compliant filing of I-9’s, Screening and Visa documentation
  • Training:
    • Focus on training initiatives throughout the whole organization, including the administration of BizLibrary, our Learning Management System.
    • Ensure all new hires complete onboarding compliance courses
    • Establish new training initiatives for current employees to advance their skills and meet safety compliance
    • Work with Subject Matter Experts from various departments to create company and process-specific training materials
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of recruiting experience in either an agency or corporate environment
  • Foundational knowledge of Boolean search strings and sourcing for candidates
  • Forward-thinking with the ability to multitask
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adept as creating an outstanding candidate experience and providing consultative guidance to hiring managers
  • Appreciation for and professional handling of confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong customer service attitude and ability to adjust to changing priorities
